Too obvious that we had a family trip to Bar Harbor this summer? While we got our overfill of the lovely creature, this is my ode to one of my favorite spots on earth.

Here`s a cloud painting reminding me of cotton balls...or mashed potatoes. All depends if you`re hungry or....need to remove make up? I had to look up what cotton balls are used for, because I don`t really use them for anything but alcohol on a cut or roll them in vaseline and use them to start campfires. What do you use them for?

Everybody has a favorite eating/drinking spot. Hell, sometimes it can be on the back deck. But on days like this it`s over at @skylinebeerco. We can bring the dog and she can soak in the sun as the kids get their sodas and we get our pints of "Listening Juice" and listen to some live music. It`s like a little vacation on the opposite side of town. I painted this before the long cold winter we had. Time to open the windows and get outside!

Here`s a little ditty from the Cliff Walk walk in Newport, explored with my family not long ago. Having been denied into an Art Fair this spring, and then getting one of my designs stolen, I had to take a step back and ask, WTF am I doing? I`ve been doing this art thing my whole life so screw it, here`s my jam. I make a living as a designer, then I have these cartoony things that I make into shirts and sell online, and then I have my paintings, which usually sit in the basement in boxes because I`m too lazy to hang anything up. Right now, I use Acrylic paints, because oils used to make me sick to my stomach. Maybe oils again with better ventilation? We`ll see. We went to Florida last week and came back to a snowstorm. As I was busting my back removing another dump of snow by the plow in front of my driveway, I thought of how nice and warm I was a few days before…and then tried a few paintings.
The palm at dusk and a lifeguard shack flying its warning flag for riptides. So yeah,
from the beach to the snow, we prep for the next adventure, and maybe a hint of spring today!

Back to the paintings! We don’t have the best views out of our back window, but on this day it was pretty awesome! Took me a few days to get the sky and trees right compared to what mother nature did in a few minutes.
