Birch Trees

Acrylic on Panel 2-3/16″ x 4-1/2″

Inspired by a stroll through the woods, I present the beauty of the birch trees, and the regret that I had to cut down three of them in my own yard.

Boat Dock

Acrylic on Panel 2-3/16″ x 4-1/2″

On vacation, I’m always in awe of boats swaying on the water, waiting for the weekend so their owners can use them.

Boston Whale Watch

Acrylic on Panel 2-3/16″ x 4-1/2″

We chartered a boat to view some whales, but only saw one. I can only imagine how annoyed he was that a boat was following him for a good two hours. Then I saw this sailboat to change my view.

Bullens Field

Acrylic on Panel 2-3/16″ x 4-1/2″

Baseball at night in Westfield means the Starfires at Bullens Field! I wonder if any of the players would rather shop the consession stand inbetween innings.

Florida Fountain

Acrylic on Panel 2-3/16″ x 4-1/2″

A stroll around a lake in Florida brought me to this gem. The sound of the fountain in the distance and the brilliant colors of sunset brought me some peace after a long day.

October Mountain Lake

Acrylic on Panel 2-3/16″ x 4-1/2″

After a long hike throughout the trails around October Mountain, we stopped for a rest at this fine spot over looking the lake. Off in the distance a fisherman seeks his dinner.

California Dreamin

Acrylic on Panel 2-3/16″ x 4-1/2″

Sometimes you can get inspired by friends who live in far away places.  This landscape features clouds that you can lay your head on and drift away….

Cape Elizabeth Marsh

Acrylic on Panel 2-3/16″ x 4-1/2″

Just off the beach where the waves are crashing is the most peaceful spot where new life is able to grow. It may look like a mess, but there’s a lot of life down there in the marsh.

Mystic Lighthouse

Acrylic on Panel 2-3/16″ x 4-1/2″

I wonder who lives there? I wonder whose boat that is?  All those questions swirl when you’re on a boat ride and after you think to yourself, “this is an awesome day.”

Lake George Beach Rd

Acrylic on Panel 2-3/16″ x 4-1/2″

When you step outside the Garrrions Restaurant in Lake George, there’s Beach Road which brings you down to the beach. Right behind the beach are these mountains that seem to grow out from the lake. Great spot.

Mystic Jellyfish

Acrylic on Panel 2-3/16″ x 4-1/2″

What looks like a ghost floating through the water is actually the most graceful jellyfish swimming gently in a tank. Beautiful and haunting.

Mystic Duckie

Acrylic on Panel 2-3/16″ x 4-1/2″

It’s the biggest rubber duck I’ve ever seen! Anchored in Mystic waters is the Mystic Duckie. I thought it would be great to take center stage in a painting. Quack!

Narragansett Lighthouse

Acrylic on Panel 2-3/16″ x 4-1/2″

On a cold February day, a lighthouse overlooks the sea and calls to any weary traveler that accidentally WANTED to go out on the water in this frigid temperature.

Caribbean Beach

Nubble Light

Acrylic on Panel 2-3/16″ x 4-1/2″

Built up high on the rocks, the Nubble Lighthouse in Maine readies it’s light to protect sailors from it’s shores. I imagine the little red shed below it probably houses extra paint to keep it bright white.

Perkins Cove

Acrylic on Panel 2-3/16″ x 4-1/2″

Standing on the drawbridge in Perkins Cove, you can look out at the inlet which takes your view to the vast ocean. Then you think to yourself, “Do I have to go home tomorrow?”

Sunset Vista

Acrylic on Panel 2-3/16″ x 4-1/2″

When the sun goes down, the colors come up. Purple mountains take over the landscape as a brilliant sky opens your eyes to what can be possible tomorrow!

York Maine

Waves come crashing into the rocks and the sound is like a roar from a lion. This weather reshapes the land and gives you comfort that you’re standing on solid ground!

Sunset Vista

Acrylic on Panel 2-3/16″ x 4-1/2″

I zipped open my tent after a cold night in my sleeping bag. The view from this South Deefield landscape took my breath away as the fall colors dominated the background, making me feel grateful for another daily gift of life in New England.

Washington MA

Acrylic on Panel 2-3/16″ x 4-1/2″

Mother nature planted this tree. It lived a good life, but then the water took over. I saw a few birds fly out of it. It may be dead now, but it still has a purpose as a home. The only thing missing is a mailbox.

Skyline View

Acrylic on Panel 2-3/16″ x 4-1/2″

I’ve sat outside at Skyline Brewery many times just looking at this awesome view of tobacco barns. Once full, their contents have been shipped off to market. They now house what I’m assuming are families of field mice. Do mice smoke?

Backyard Sunset

Sometimes the most beautiful scenery can happen right in your backyard. And there it was, a brilliant, firey sunset. It only lasted a few minutes, but wow, what a treat!

When you walk away from the beach and it suddenly gets quiet and chill, and you can hear the water washing up on a marshy shore…that’s when you find your spot.

Cocoa Lifeguard Shack

Acrylic on Panel 2-3/16″ x 4-1/2″

It’s not always fun and games at the beach. Riptide warning! The surf may look inviting, but trust in the flag. The lifeguards know the deal of the day.

Cliff Walk

Acrylic on Panel 2-3/16″x 4-1/2″

We get to the beach when we can. This time, it was for the Mansions in Newport. It was cold, but we made the best of it. Blue ocean, blue sky, and the wind battered terrain of the Cliff Walk.

Florida Palm

Acrylic on Panel 2-3/16″x 4-1/2″

A florida palm tree at sunset. Whenever I’m freezing my but off in the New England weather, I look at this painting and think about how warm the sun can be.

Florida Sunset

Acrylic on Panel 4-1/2″ x 2-3/16″

Warm and inviting, but watch out for those gators! Just kidding. It’s near a golf course. But still, it’s florida. Gators.
